The Winthrop Singers was formed in February 2007 in a partnership between the School of Music and St George’s College at the University of Western Australia. The choir performs a weekly service, either evensong or a Sung Eucharist, on Thursdays at 6pm at St George’s College Chapel. In addition to regular lunchtime concerts, the choir has performed in New Norcia, Government House and Perth Convention Centre and has also toured Albany and Denmark. The Winthrop Singers perform music from every period of the Anglican and Catholic traditions, a cappella arrangements of jazz and light music.
